WHY Are We Holding this Conference?

There is something wonderful that happens when we gather together in person with a shared dream and purpose. We want to help you connect with others and leave uplifted and inspired. You are not alone.
We also wanted to provide a way for you to introduce your friends to the Well-Educated Heart community. It can be challenging to explain it to someone else. It’s best if they can experience it.
We don’t do these large events very often. We do hope you can come!
WHO is This Conference For?
Come to My Garden is the theme for this one-day conference for members of the Well-Educated Heart community, as well as anyone who is interested in learning more.

The day session is designed for women 16 and older (babies in arms are welcome as long as you are willing to take them out if they get fussy). The evening session is for families of the women who participate in the day sessions.

Women whose children want to join the Family Night at the Gardens and are looking for something to do during the day may consider available options at Thanksgiving Point. See the FAQs for more information.

WHERE Will it Be Held?
The full day Monday session for women will be held at the Show Barn at Thanksgiving Point.
The evening session is a Family Night at the Gardens at Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point.
For the locations of Thanksgiving Point attractions for children during the day, please visit the Thanksgiving Point website and scroll down to the map. See more information on this opportunity in the FAQs.

Angela Johnson
Creator of the 2.5 acre "Light of the World" sculpture garden.
Although Angela Johnson will not be presenting during the day conference, understanding the creation process of her beautiful sculpture garden will make the evening experience of walking through it even more meaningful.
Step 3: Prepare Personally for Artful Living Experiences
Poetry
Folk Dancing
Song
For our poetry experience, we ask that you bring a poem to share.
It can either be a favorite poem you've read, or one that you have written. To enhance the experience even more, consider taking the time to learn it by heart.
For folk dancing, make time before you come to learn these folk dances from the Netherlands and Sweden with your family. If you do, you won’t have to learn it at the gardens, and can just come and have fun dancing!
We will close the evening five minutes before 9:00 pm at the Light of the World garden by singing the hymn Abide With Me as a community. We encourage you to learn the first 3 verses by heart with your family.
